Tentation is a surreal oil painting on wood depicting a polar bear wearing antlers and holding a birdcage containing a tempting red apple. Beside him, a polar bear cub gazes at a snake coiled around a branch. In this work, the artist expressed the symbolism of temptation and sin, drawing inspiration from Cranach's famous Renaissance painting.


This work is part of the Masquerades and Portraits painting collection, populated with fantastic animals from folklore and legends, while also paying homage to the great classics of painting.
