Le Gardien des Cimes is a surreal oil painting on wood by Corine Perier depicting a majestic eagle with the head of a chamois, two animals living in untamed nature, thus creating a hybrid creature. The artist painted the chamois's head covered with a fur hood matching the bird's plumage to better merge the species. She used shades of blue and brown to evoke the colors of the mountain landscape and the cloudy sky.
