The Mysterious Island is a new excursion into Corine Perier's imaginary and surreal animal world. Placing her hybrid animals in exotic settings, her oil paintings are full of images of a kind of paradise, her own mysterious island, in which animal forms merge and where bright colors and lush vegetation are used to convey a beautiful energy. Part of this series was exhibited in Rome in 2021 during the artist's solo exhibition.
